Two of three sections complete near Tunbridge

27 September 2017

The southern section of the White Lagoon (Tunbridge) to Mona Vale project has been completed. This comes after the completion of the northern end of the project just last month.

The 110 km/h speed limit has now been reinstated in two out of the three sections for this project.

The completed sections feature additional safety measures and more overtaking lanes in both directions. The introduction of a central flexible safety barrier in the southern section will also reduce the likelihood of head-on crashes.

The northern and southern sections of the project now include two metre-wide sealed shoulders to assist road users maintain control of their vehicle, as well as
U-turn facilities.

It is important to remember that reduced speed limits will continue in the middle section of the project. This section is still under construction, and road users can expect temporary changes to road conditions (including a reduced speed limit between 40 – 60 km/h) to continue for the remainder of the construction period.

The southern section of the White Lagoon (Tunbridge) and Mona Vale project has been completed.
