Midland Highway 10 Year Action Plan

Perth-Breadalbane Duplication

Perth to Breadalbane Duplication

The works

These works will provide a four-lane highway from Perth to link in with the existing four-lane Southern Outlet north of the Breadalbane roundabout, and a new underpass arrangement to provide safe access to the highway. There will also be an upgraded interchange including an underpass for airport traffic and provision for cyclists.

Current situation

November 2017: planned temporary diversion of traffic

Starting in November 2017, all traffic will be temporarily diverted under the newly-constructed overpass near the Breadalbane roundabout.

This temporary diversion will allow road construction to be completed before traffic is transferred onto the full length of the new road later this year.

During the construction period the speed limit will be 60 km for the diverted section. At the northern section of the roadworks single lanes will continue to operate for 1 km in each direction.

For the safety of road workers and road users, please obey all signs, reduce speed limits as required, and follow directions.

Thank you for your continued patience while these works are delivered. Please allow extra time for your journey and be aware of temporary changes to traffic conditions.
